Re: Rogue One[edit]

You need to paraphrase that article in your own words rather than cutting-and-pasting. It's a copyright violation if you don't. Cheers. DonQuixote (talk) 17:35, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Rogue One shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. How am I supposed to accept an edit when they just erase my addition and the only thing they say is . "Please Stop." It's ludicrous, is wikipedia an information page or a commercial promotion site? I reverted because they did not make improvements they were just trying to suppress the information I added. Saying "STOP" or Please Don't Add social media stuff" is not an edit or useful it is just anti informational. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Conker00 (talkcontribs) 01:50, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You are supposed to begin a discussion of the issue on the article's Talk page, not repeatedly and persistently reassert your edit, even if you think you are right. See the links in the message above for more information. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing. Also, please always sign your Talk page comments by typing four tildes (~~~~). Where on the Rogue One Talk page do I start a discussion? There is no clear place to begin discussion. I am trying to learn more. I only reverted because No one gave me a good reason to let them erase my edit. So it seemed appropriate to revert it. Conker00 (talk) 02:44, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Go to Talk:Rogue One, choose Edit this page, navigate to the bottom of the page below the existing discussions, type a brief, meaningful subject for the discussion bracketed by == (before and after) to designate it as a discussion heading, and begin typing your comments. Remember to sign your comments when you are done and then click Save changes. It is fundamentally the same as entering comments here on your Talk page. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for more information. General Ization Talk 02:49, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your helpful directions.Conker00 (talk) 03:25, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that if others edit the page while you are preparing your comments, you may experience an edit conflict and need to reopen the editor to save your comments. This is particularly a problem on an article that is being heavily edited, as Rogue One is now. It may be helpful to compose your opening comments offline in Notepad or another simple text editor and then copy and paste them (not the entire contents of the page) into the online Talk page editor when ready. The material was copied directly from another website, and thus was a copyright violation. Please don't add copyright material to this wiki. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:53, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You must be late. I already paraphrased it. I haven't posted it since. Very strange to be claiming copyright when nothing is posted any more.Conker00 (talk) 05:54, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
