License tagging for Image:Chriscleave.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chriscleave.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

I want to emphasize that you genuinely are welcome to contribute to this project, Chris. The one thing you should avoid is anything which smacks of self-promotion or otherwise qualifies as a conflict of interest. You're a writer; I'm sure you have life experiences, professional knowledge, odd bits of learning in curious byways of the noosphere. Apply those to this project, anywhere that doesn't touch on the works and self-interest of author Chris Cleave. (If nothing else comes to mind, just click that "Random article" link to the left of this window, and you'll be taken to one of 2.x million Wikipedia articles; most of which need improvement, to greater or lesser extents.)
