Hello, and thank you for your edit at Royal United Services Institute.
Unfortunately, I have had to revert it as what you heard "in person" when attending the AGM is neither verifiable nor a Independent source. Verifiability - the ability for a reader to check the information, at any time in the future, at any time of day, anywhere in the world is one of the keystones of Wikipedia - whilst we also want reliable, independent, sources. When the AGM is reported on in a third party source, the information can be re-included, citing that source, so the information can be verified. - Arjayay (talk) 17:21, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I cited one book (which has now disappeared) and a fact sheet produced by the Royal Welch Museum, which I was provided with today and it was used on the WW2 website I frequent - as a way readers can read it in full. Yes, I didn't specify that was the origin. Should I? The fact sheet is not available on their website. The disbandment date was given as 1958, when in fact it was 1948. I read as you recommended inline citations and amended the text accordingly - as a pointer to locate the fact sheet. Hi - I only removed the passage because it seemed redundant because elements of the article were already cited to the USMC publication. That said, I have restored the material. Please note that I have moved some of the material to the section on amalgamation as I think it sits better there, but I don't have strong views if you want to move it back. Best wishes.
