Welcome from Redwolf24[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Redwolf24

P.S. I like messages :-P

Re: Blues vs. Gospel: The Battle of the Century[edit]

I'd like to know a little more about you--are you planning on putting together a user page?

Probably not. My webpage is here: http://www.hutten.org/rob

I hope our equal passion for (and inevitable disagreement over) the music of BWJ, John Hurt, Blind Lemon Jefferson, etc will connect us as allies rather than force us to be enemies!

I don't make enemies. I enjoy discussions about the music I'm obviously passionate about, but to be honest this one is wearing thin. I'm posting what I hope to be my last word on the subject back on the BWJ talk page. --RobHutten 10:42, 26 September 2005 (UTC)-Rob[reply]

Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid[edit]

LOL. Hey Buck, don't give up. The more of us monitoring and reverting the trolls, the easier it will be for us to keep up standards. I plan on still reverting the name changers. -->Chemical Halo 05:07, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ishmon Bracey fixes...[edit]

Hey Buck, thanks for fixing the categories on the Bracey page. I'm still getting a handle on this wikistuff... --RobHutten 00:01, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Clarksdale Moan[edit]

Hey Buck... thanks for the note. I hadn't heard this! Can't wait to hear it. --RobHutten 11:19, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Skold[edit]

I didn't really feel it was an improvement, in your edit, alot of the information about his days with Shotgun Messiah and name changes, didn't flow as well as it originally did.

Also KMFDM are Industrial rock not just an Industrial band. Also there were spelling mistakes such as "experieced", for example. Hope that makes it a little clear, thanks - Deathrocker 13:34, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that it would be more productive to simply fix the minor typo or clarify any info that I missed, rather than revert the entire revision. The current version is in English, yet it seems to have been written by someone unfamiliar with Engish grammar. This is what I was attempting to address. But I'll stay out of it now on. Peace & plenty. --buck 18:22, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
NOTE: compare the original version with my edit

Udo Sturm[edit]

As far as I know, he's a painter/multimedia artist whatever that means. That's all the info Sascha has ever put out on him. I really think that he's just some guy that Sascha met during this "art exhibition", he could've died 15 years ago for all we know. -- mando 00:58, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chopra[edit]

My apologies for the comments I made on the Deepak Chopra talk page. I see that you were acting in good faith and I appreciate your input there. I'm so used to dealing with rabid "skeptics", that I sometimes fail to recognize the good editor who is merely trying to improve Wikipedia and not just attack something they don't believe in. Your EAR[edit]

Hi,

A few days ago, you posted a request for editor assistance on a possible case of COI. This is merely an effort to follow-up on that matter, as there have been some responses to the request.

If you have yet to do so, please check out the responses, and let me know if the issue is resolved. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page; better yet, post a reply to the request, providing a status update. Cheers, --Aarktica 12:54, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Piedmont blues/Mance Lipscomb[edit]

Simply put, Lipscomb is the only name on the list that I recognized. Knowing that he hailed from Navasota, Texas, he sticks out like a sore thumb on a Piedmont-related list. (Latent Texan chauvinism, perhaps.) I'll grant that it was a bit odd to single out one item, when the whole article was already tagged, but in his case I think it really bears some citation (honestly, I'd be curious to know about it). Hope I didn't come off as a PitA. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:48, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:KMFDM2005.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:KMFDM2005.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn 20:38, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed you had nominated KMFDM for good article. One of the auto-fail criteria for good articles is that they have inadaquate image tagging, and there are a number of fair use images in the article which lack good explanations of why they should be allowed specifically in that article, the logo lacks any explanation at all, and, (as you can see) I have nominated the publicity photo for deletion. On top of the image issues, I doubt that the article is well referenced enough for good article, but the person actually reviewing it will no doubt be a better judge of that than me, and will no doubt have some reccomendations for how to improve the article. Although I personally would say it was not ready, I think it is well on its way. J Milburn 20:45, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Orphaned non-free image File:KMFDM84-86.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:KMFDM84-86.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 23:16, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
