"SS" versus "St"
Hy Bogger, in the Athlone article, can you explain why your refuse the abbreviation "St" and impose "SS" for the St Paul & Peter church, while you are not bothered with the abbreviation "St" for St Mary Church in the same article? Shouldn't we stay consistent when using abbreviations in an article? Also, isn't it the case that "St" is more appropriate than "SS" which has many connotations? --Christophe Krief (talk) 08:34, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
St. Mary is one person, SS Peter and Paul are two. Your edit was given as a typo, which is isn't. It is the term used on the official parish website. Agreed that SS is not a very well known term - I had to look it up in wikipedia - but it is a correct one (cf. "Messrs", "cf.", "Inter alia", inter alia). I think it's clear that St. Peter and St. Paul were not members of the Schutzstaffel.[citation needed] --Bogger (talk) 12:23, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Speedy deletion nomination of Queva Griffin
Hi. I have tagged Queva Griffin for speedy deletion under WP:R3, WP:R#DELETE and WP:EASTEREGG. In short, I can see no reason why a reader would expect (or indeed likely understand) why the name of an organ transplant recipient would redirect to a very generic article on organ transplantation (not least as that named person is not mentioned in any way in the target article). - OK. Is the same true of Sophia McColgan? And Eric Peard? And Don Seery? And Alan Herdman? Per WP:BLP1E, not everyone who won an award is automatically notable or warrants an article. And, per the related guidelines, we shouldn't create "easteregg" redirects that send people to unexpected places.
