How do you do that?[edit]

Your talkpage displays remarkable skill - being a Scientist specialising in Quantum Chemistry, I would hope to create one like yours! Can you lend me some tips, I would be most grateful,

Yours Sincerely,

User:Hortensio - 21st June

Userpage[edit]

How are you? Btw are you using Firefox or IE? And what colour do you want to be dominant? Hehe, that is all for now. Cheers -- Imoeng 09:56, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see User:Boadrummer/Userpage2 and tell me what you think. It is just temporary though. Cheers -- Imoeng 10:44, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe, glad that you like the graphic. Yeah I will change it more tonight. Now I am off to my mate's birthday. See ya. Cheers -- Imoeng 00:10, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey sorry for the slow progress. Can you take a look at it now? Do you want me to add the entry or you want to put it yourself? Cheers -- Imoeng 12:06, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I can help you with that. But I really don't know anything about you. So just tell me what do you want me to put ;). Cheers -- Imoeng 11:28, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done! :D Hehe, but I reckon the markup is pretty confusing, so you can ask me if you want to change anything. Your previous userpage is located at User:Boadrummer/Userpage1. Hope you like it. Cheers -- Imoeng 05:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalisim[edit]

You might want to see what User:150.176.141.242 typed in about you on Talk:Avenged Sevenfold. I deleted it but I think we need to leave this user a warning about doing things like this in the future.A7X 900 17:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go see the Talk:Avenged Svenfold history and look at what User:150.176.141.242 put under your sentence. He said some rude things and I just wanted to inform you about the vandalisim to your sentence and that he should be warned about doing stuff like that. Look it's not that important I just wanted you to know, that's all.A7X 900 18:09, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:MyChemicalRomancepromo2006.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MyChemicalRomancepromo2006.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:MyChemicalRomancepromo2006.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:MyChemicalRomancepromo2006.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShadowHalo 07:53, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MCR is still making public appearances, so a free image can be created. If you disagree or have anything more to say, I encourage you to do so at the image's talk page. —ShadowHalo 19:45, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Esperanza![edit]

Welcome, Boadrummer, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Image tagging for Image:A7X2006BandPromoPhoto.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:A7X2006BandPromoPhoto.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Zackyvmtv.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Zackyvmtv.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Redesign userpage[edit]

Hello Boadrummer, how are you? You sure love music so much, just like me :P, and I am a guitarist :P. So, I will redesign your userpage, if you allow me to. But firstly please look at my userpage and another user's userpage I've just renovated (User:Mac Lover). Okay, if you agree, please leave a note on my talk page, then I need to ask some more questions. Have a nice day, cheers -- Imoeng 08:59, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I should start now. But I need your idea(s), like, the main colour, what are the things you'd like me to put, what pics do you like, stuff like that. As for the text and information, I think I'll ask after I've finished with the layout. Cheers -- Imoeng 07:13, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes[edit]

No problems, and no offence taken, I'm much worse at times, believe me... As for your query, have a look at WP:Userboxes, that should be exactly what you're after! Anymore questions, and you can contact me on MSN at hawkertyphoon@hotmail.com, or if you wish, on my talk page again. Regards, HawkerTyphoon 23:09, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

It might be advisable to have the categories removed from the bottom of each page except your user page, in that case, as they cause a large buildup in the actual category. Michael 22:39, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page intent[edit]

Hey, Things such as userboxes are only supposed to be used on your user page. The talk page is for communication. You also cannot blank your talk page, as some may look upon that as vandalism. It is customary that one only delete comments on a user page if they are offensive or vandalism. Michael 22:30, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page[edit]

Please do not remove messages from your talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted comments. Thanks. HawkerTyphoon 22:09, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To archive your talk page, go to this guideline! As a rule, you shouldn't delete anything except personal attacks on your talk page. It makes people look as if you're hiding something ;-)!I gave you a level 0 warning, which is basically just a friendly reminder, so don't worry about it too much. Have a look at this. It explains everything about talk pages, and has some useful links that should help you. Thanks for replying though, I don't often get that! HawkerTyphoon 22:17, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A7X Member Pages[edit]

You've mentioned this page, but a concensus hasn't yet been formed on wether or not to actually make the pages. I don't want to shout 'POLICY' at you, but Wikipedia is a community, and from the page above you can see that the articles shouldn't yet be made, no matter how much you or me or anyone likes A7X. The pages were 'deleted, and re-making them when the members don't meet WP:BIO or WP:MUSIC isn't allowed. HawkerTyphoon 22:20, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't quite understand what you mean. Why exactly does it say that those two pages (for the bio and music notablity) aren't Wikipedia policy? ? Those two pages aren't Wikipedia policy, but they're guidelines on how notable someone should be before being allowed a seperate article in Wikipedia. Have a look at WP:NOT, it states that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Unless you can prove that those band members are notable according to WP:MUSIC or WP:BIO, the articles are going to keep being made into redirects! HawkerTyphoon 22:28, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Bayside - The Walking Wounded[edit]

I have no idea why you keep deleting the track listing from the walking wounded page. But if you did your research and looked, that track listing is official. http://www.victoryrecords.com/releases

Thanks for uploading Image:Synster Gates.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Fair use rationale for Image:DaisyRockLogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:DaisyRockLogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 13:14, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
