Notability of Online Business Guidebook

A tag has been placed on Online Business Guidebook requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Speedy deletion of Online Business Guidebook

A tag has been placed on Online Business Guidebook requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

That is irrelevant; the book is in no way notable, and the "article" was an advertisement for it. We don't tolerate advertisements here, whether for giant predatory corporations or for noble causes. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:03, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

It is meant to be informational and not to sell people product but talk about the work being done and to help expand the project - in other words, it is promotional in intent. Promotion does not only consist of advertisement of commercial products, but also the promotion of causes, faiths, organizations and yes, class projects. This is a class project, no more notable than millions of class projects being worked on by our fellow students all across the planet this very moment; and no more notable than many of the rest. It is simply not encyclopedic content. I'm not trying to be mean, just enforcing our standards of notability. I would do the same if this were a project of my own beloved UWM History Department. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:22, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
