Michael Stewart (writer, UK) moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Michael Stewart (writer, UK). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Paul W (talk) 14:00, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Beau124 I notice that you added Stewart's date of birth, which does not appear to be included in any of the sources. Where did you obtain this information? If you are a friend, family member, colleague etc of his (or Stewart himself), please note WP:COI and avoid editing his article except for minor corrections etc: you are welcome to add suggestions to the article's talk page, with appropriate sources for any new or amended content.
Please also note, for the future:
  • Use a person's surname, not given name, when writing in the encyclopedia
  • Only use "straight" apostrophes/quotes, not curly or slanted
  • Provide references for everything you add, especially about a living person
  • Rather than "nowiki" for ISBNs, use the {{ISBN}} template, which converts the ISBN to a clickable link leading to bibliographic information in many catalogues etc
  • Please add the publisher when listing books published
Thanks. There is a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it is an interesting journey. Welcome, and Happy Editing! PamD 15:58, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
After doing quite a lot of work on the article I've moved it to mainspace, but as there are too many other writers called Michael Stewart I've had to give it the double (or triple) disambiguation of Michael Stewart (British writer, born 1971) - there's another British writer, as well as an American novelist, another playwright, etc, and doing it this way, with birth date, is a recognised technique, see WP:NCPDAB. @Paul W Sorry, I should have pinged you in the above post. I think it's ready for mainspace, though the lists of publications could do with publishers and ISBNs. PamD 15:20, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, PamD. Hopefully, now it's in mainspace it will get more attention to improve it further. Paul W (talk) 15:23, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
