GA review

Hello!

I saw you began a GA review of Social media in the 2016 United States presidential election, but I think you may be a bit inexperienced to be conducting GA reviews. I really appreciate your enthusiasm to help out, but I ask that you pause the review for now. I've opened a thread on WT:GAN about this, which you should get a ping notification about. Thanks, Giraffer (talk·contribs) 16:15, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi There Avishai. Welcome to Wikipedia. I'm Barkeep49 an experienced editor an an administrator. I noticed you changed Giraffer's message. That goes against our guidelines. Please don't do that again. I also share Giraffer's concerns about this as a good first GA review. I recommend you gather more experience editing Wikipedia before trying to do other GA reviews. I have deleted your claiming of the review so it can be done by an editor with an appropriate level of experience. If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask me. I notice you have nominated Kamala Harris for a GA review.

I'm concerned for three reasons. Firstly, looking at the page history, you don't seem to have made many contributions to the article, and while a high-traffic page like this might not need many improvements given the total (wo)manpower available as a result, it's unlikely to meet the GA criteria by chance.

Secondly, the article may not be particularly stable, because there is a lot of traffic, and it's impossible to hit a moving target.

Thirdly, trying to keep on top of BLPs that are at GA can feel like pushing a rock up a hill. Is that something you really want to do? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:58, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
