Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed your edits updating Your Name's gross on List of highest-grossing Japanese films. In the future, make sure to add the source(s) you use for updates like this to the article itself and not just mention it in the WP:Edit summary. That way, readers can easily see where the information comes from, even if several years have passed and the article has been edited heavily in the meantime. This edit also—presumably unintentionally—altered a direct quote from a source that had the old figure. All the best, TompaDompa (talk) 10:57, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, TompaDompa
I just saw your message. I was wondering how to add the source for the edit? When I tried to add the source to the article, it just has a bunch of complex codes, numbers and letters. So I don't know where to add it? Please tell me how to navigate the article edit more easily.

There is a how-to guide at Help:Referencing for beginners and a more detailed explanation page at Wikipedia:Citing sources. I admittedly don't know how helpful those pages are since I haven't read them myself, but they are probably good places to start, at least. TompaDompa (talk) 23:13, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
