I am hoping during this project that I help make Wikipedia a better place :). And give more knowledge about college sports. (Akdash09 (talk) 14:33, 10 February 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Smithsonian Institution Archives Edit-a-Thon and Meetup![edit]

Who should come? You should. Really.
She Blinded Me with Science: Smithsonian Women in Science Edit-a-Thon will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Smithsonian Archives in Washington, D.C. This edit-a-thon will focus on improving and writing Wikipedia content about women from the Smithsonian who contributed to the sciences. It will be followed by a happy hour meetup! We look forward to seeing you there!

...and if you do not live in the Washington, D.C. area, please forgive the intrusion and you can delete this invite! Sarah (talk) 04:47, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on your sandbox work[edit]

Hi there, I've looked over your article and have a few suggestions!

  • Both you and Springaling17 are working on the same article. You will probably want to look at each other's work and see how you can integrate what you've both done into the same article. For example, you have a section on "background," while Springaling17 has a section on "origin." You will want to collaborate to mesh these together in the live article.
  • You might retile How It Is Measured to Measurement, in keeping with the typical convention of pithy subtitles whenever possible.
  • Your averages are a great idea, but you might want to create a grid to make the table more readable. You can actually try copying the table with articles from the course page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:United_States_Education_Program/Courses/Sport_in_Society_(Shelly_Habel)) by clicking edit and copying the code. If you need help with creating a table, you're welcome to come to office hours and we can work on it.

Hope that helps! Sleuthwood (talk) 17:21, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
