Synizesis Edit[edit]

Hi Ahmetlii, you've recently deleted a large edit that I made to the Synizesis article. As I understand it there was a MoS error in my edit. Could I ask what the error was in particular? If there is any simple fix I can make, I would gladly do so, but if at all possible I would like to restore any edits that I made that are not problematic. Thanks in advance. Sem2wiki (talk) 23:05, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sem2wiki: My point about it was using citation templates rather than writing it as plain text. Anyway, I see that I reverted the whole edits of yours, so I re-reverted it. Thanks for notice.Ahmetlii (talk) 08:10, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ahmetlii: Thanks very much for getting back to me. I'll adapt the other citations to be the same format.Sem2wiki (talk) 10:54, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ahmadbish: Are you sure that you read WP:BLOG? WP:BLOG basically states that:

Anyone can create a personal web page, self-publish a book, or claim to be an expert. That is why self-published material such as books, patents, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, personal or group blogs (as distinguished from newsblogs, above), content farms, Internet forum postings, and social media postings are largely not acceptable as sources.

Ahmetlii (talk) 20:36, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RS[edit]

The book was made by "Bart van Jonge" not Yamen Najem. If that's not a good reference, what is a good reference?Ahmadbish (talk) 20:55, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ahmadbish: WP:V, WP:NPOV, WP:OR. It mustn't be original research, emphasising a non-neutral view, and and it must be verifiable (that's why we have WP:RS.)Ahmetlii (talk) 21:03, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RS[edit]

Is a "local" newspaper a good reference?Ahmadbish (talk) 21:24, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ahmadbish: Yes if that's according with the criterias I mentioned.Ahmetlii (talk) 10:10, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pastina?[edit]

Just wondering if you're still trying to converse with that anonymous editor regarding content at Pastina? I caught the IP editor just now blanking the Turkish language redirect instead of seeking venues like WP:RFD or, in the case of the discussion at the article's Talk page, WP:3O. I've also reverted the article back to the version by Field Marshal pending the outcome of this dispute. Jalen Folf (talk) 09:58, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JalenFolf: Ok, thanks. The fact is that I see that the editor is right about its difference after doing a research - because I knew what is Şehriye, but unsure about what is Pastina. Anyway, a RfD or 3O could be fine, but I think that it's only necessary when there's a problem about edits (like should we write another article for redirect - because a lot of articles in other languages including Turkish and Zaza languages are crediting to Şehriye). I believe that I can just write another article for Şehriye rather than redirecting it to Pastina, because there's a lot of physical differences about it as the anon. editor said. Ahmetlii (talk) 12:03, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and also, arpa şehriye and şehriye are literally different, so we can put a disambiguation to Sehriye and şehriye.Ahmetlii (talk) 12:10, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@JalenFolf: @Ahmetlii: Hello, "anonymous editor" checking in. Was previously unaware of the existence of WP:RFD until it was brought it up here and on JalenFolf's talk page. Thanks for the info. As to spiking the redirect, I mistakenly thought I was legitimately ending a malformed redirect that, by the authority of what I thought was a mutual agreement I had with Ahmetlii on the Pastina talk page, namely that Pastina and Sehriye are two completely different entities, would allow for the redirect to end, even though the redirect wasn't discussed specifically. Please note, my intent was certainly not part of any covert plan to get away with something wrong, wherein one might be "caught" in the act. As to the subject of the current redirect from Şehriye to Pastina, there really isn't any connection between the two other than they both are types of pasta and I would like to suggest, please, that the redirect be removed. As to the English language article of Pastina itself, I made some slight edits to separate the concepts of the Italian "Pastina" from the current inclusion of the Turkish "Şehriye", perhaps as an interim compromise stemming from our conversation on the Pastina talk page. The original words are still there but have been rearranged to locations where the two entities are kept more separate, as this situation evolves, with the hope that the references in the Pastina article to the Turkish "Şehriye" and the links to Turkish cuisine and the Turkish stub be removed. One other thing, the photograph used in the Pastina article is not an accurate representation of Pastina, but rather it is of various random Italian pasta shapes that one may consider to tend toward the small end of the size scale. The closest thing to Pastina in that photograph may be Grattini, but oddly, the photograph doesn't actually show a sample of Pastina itself. Despite the translation, Pastina is not used as a generic term for all types of small Italian pasta, but, it is an actual singular type of Italian pasta that developed over the years to a specific size and shape. Please note that each pasta pictured in the photograph has its own name, but, ironically, Pastina is not shown. There also exists the reality, that depending upon the region (or even, town) of Italy where one finds oneself, the exact same cut of pasta may have as many as four or five different names across the entire peninsula, from one Italian dialect to another. It would be quite the undertaking to sort it out and would require a massive spreadsheet. Articles such as this on Wikipedia, as one would expect to find on an encyclopedia, cover only the tip of the iceberg.71.112.248.72 (talk) 07:20, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

At Last i never attack editors apart from those who add as Per their own Narrative the User u are defending Removed well sourced Words on First Battle of Tarain and Seccond Battle Page as it was not suiting his Painful nerve.

And At last Mate Wikipedia Is Biased we have to accpet So are u And Me Wiki own Founder Larry Sanger call it biased source Claiming That Its not Autnentic and Senior editors edit as per their Own narrative which suits them. Anyway this is meaningless Please guide me again in Future I will be thankful but as of Now I did nothing wrong. Thanks and Cheers. Samboy 01681 (talk) 15:52, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Samboy 01681: Yes, if you mean systemic bias, Wikipedia has a systemic bias but that's what the all editors helping for ending it. Also, The Britannica is a reliablle source, but your sources are apparently not citing any source from a university's press, DOI, JSTOR, or something like that. Please don't make citing from biased source because of its nature (for example, if I cite an unreliable newspaper from Pakistan, India, or China in Kashmir conflict, or citing The Sun on Boris Johnson or Partition of Ireland, probably my citation will be removed and I will get a warning). I hope this explanation helped a lot.Ahmetlii (talk) 16:46, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course you can make little changes on a uncontroversial topic with source, but you should be careful on controversial topics. Ahmetlii (talk) 16:50, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Croatia women handball team[edit]

Hi Ahmetlii, you've recently deleted a large edit that I've made to the Croatian women handball team article. I'm new in all this so I didn't knew I have to describe my changes. My mistake. Could you please restore everything so I can go on with writing.

I wanted to let you know that I've removed the CSD G4 tag from Draft:Sajitha Jayaprakash because it isn't valid here. There's no previous AfD or MfD on this title. Regards ─ The Aafī (talk) 18:22, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

TheAafi, ok, thanks. I thought there's because of it looked like copy-pasted. Ahmetlii (talk) 18:36, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ahmetlii, copy-paste? Perhaps of some external link? In that case G12 would be the right option. G4 is applied on if an article has previously been deleted via AfD and the outcome was clear cut delete, and the new article is same as the deleted article. ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 18:40, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
AafiOnMobile, I mean, they probably copied from a draft that deleted, (see their bulk copy paste and dates of the tags on the article); therefore, I have no idea about what should I tag with. Ahmetlii (talk) 18:46, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I get it, but I couldn't locate anything in the deletion log of draft. Perhaps it had a different title? If the draft had been deleted per WP:MfD, G4 was the best. Anyways, it's a promotional non-neutral draft and G11 is fitting for it. Thanks for your contributions to the Wikipedia. ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 18:50, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Türk Sanat Müzgi[edit]

Hello Ahmetlii. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Türk Sanat Müzgi, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: R3 does not apply to redirects from page moves unless that page was also recently created – use WP:RFD if you want deletion. Before Deletions[edit]

Before posting speedy deletions please read notability guidelines. See WP:NPOL.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 18:33, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vinegarymass911, yes, I know, therefore I nominated for deletion. NPOL clearly states that:

*Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage

However, you only gave one citation. Ahmetlii (talk) 18:35, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Vinegarymass911, though yes, I realized that the person is a member of the "national parliament", so anyway. Ahmetlii (talk) 18:37, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • and, with respect to Musa Hakan Asyalı, saying someone is a professor is enough of an indication of significance to prevent speedy deletion as A7.. look for references , and look for publications. If he meets neither wp:prof nor wp:GNG, then, and only then, list for AfD.

The rule for speedy deletion is NOT whether the person is notable, but whether there is any indication of significance. For example, "X is a university student at Y university "merits speedy; "X is president of the Y university student association" does not, even though it wil most likely be deleted at AfD. DGG ( talk ) 22:19, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DGG, I looked for references and even put some sources on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey, however, it was still falling under WP:PROF since it's not significiant and proves notability. Anyway, I will open an AfD then. Thanks for informing me. Ahmetlii (talk) 05:52, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
good. then I will have time to check WP:PROF. or a source for the parliament. If there's a source for the membership, he's notable as a politician. DGG ( talk ) 06:15, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jaydubyah43, you deleted sources which are considered as reliable (WP:RS), and put your own words without providing any citations (WP:OR). Ahmetlii (talk) 17:26, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm! I did not intend to delete anything - I added some additional information which is being overlooked. Besides, this article reads like a who's who of one-sided reports. @Jabdubyah43: I think it's neutral per WP:POV, but of course, you can always raise your points for a better article. CVU Academy Graduate
Congratulations from both myself and all of the instructors at the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy on your successful completion of the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy. You completed your final exam with a score of 96%. Well done!

Ahmetlii, it's been a pleasure having you as my first CVUA trainee and now graduate. Over the course you've demonstrated a brilliant commitment to helping stop to stop vandalism on Wikipedia. I wish you the best of luck for the future, if you ever need advice or assistance, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Pahunkat (talk) 16:49, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One last thing - I'm sure you will have noted the presence of the LTA Evlekis on our training page, leading it to be protected by Sro23. I stated at the start of the course that I would want to copy the page as a subpage in your userspace, however with Evlekis it is likely they may target the copied version. This means that if I copy it you will need to watch it carefully. Would you still like me to copy it to your userspace? Pahunkat (talk) 16:49, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'll leave it in my userspace (per comment in history). It's one thing completing CVUA, it's another when your training page is attacked by an LTA who impersonates my username and uses several socks. Once again, well done! Pahunkat (talk) 17:06, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Pahunkat, could you copy it to my namespace? I thought about it. (and that message was sent by mistake anyway) Ahmetlii (talk) 17:23, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reported You to Wikipedia for Incompetance and Abuse of Authority[edit]

I am extremely concerned of your wanton abuse of authority to mislabel the information I provided to a wikipedia page. You are everything that is wrong with this site and the reason why I will not be making any future financial contributions. You are encouraging revisionsm and neo-facism. Don't pretend that you are an expert when you are ironically dismissing an internationally renowned expert who has dedicated their entire life to such a topic. Mkat29 (talk) 05:38, 23 January 2021 (UTC) mkat29 (Mkat29 (talk) 05:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC))mkat29[reply]

Mkat29, I guess that you wanted to talk about me due to the edits on Gideon Greif. Let me explain my reasons and notes completely:
First of all, I'm not a neo-fascist nor a revisionist. Again, I'm not an expert nor an user who has special rights neither a representative of WMF, so I don't care whether you donated or not. I'm a editor, and try to not making personal attacks with saying "you're neo-Nazi" without any evidence. Please see WP:NPA.
Second, the reason for reverting your edits was removing the contents and references, and then you didn't provide any discussion or source for it. Please see WP:V.
I also guessed that you probably complained because I said WP:FRINGE. However, I accept the fact about Holocaust and condemn Nazis. That's not the problem. The problem was that you said that the person said "the casualties was more than 700 or 800 thousand" and you didn't cite any sources for it. And therefore, I couldn't verify the claim (due to the fact that I'm not an expert), and I thought that this is against WP:FRINGE and WP:BLP. (and notice that the rules on BLPs are so strict)
I tried to explain my reasons as much as I could tell. If you have any questions, you're welcome to ask, however, try not to make personal attacks. Thank you so much. Ahmetlii (talk) 07:56,

I know you are not an expert. I am upset because I am aware that there are plenty of neo-Ustase people out there who deliberately spread misinformation on wikipedia. They are actively trying to discredit Dr. Greif's work because they are ultranationalists. This is why I am in firm support of locking Gideon Greif's page once we get this matter sorted out. I actually did cite a source and I will cite it here again at the end. The new death toll was discovered by Holocaust expert Gideon Greif. It was erroneously cited on wikipedia as "outdated" when in fact the finding is based on very recent findings from 2019. There is also misinformation on wikipedia saying that Dr. Greif is not well informed on the topic when in fact he is the foremost expert on the topic. No one is more qualified to speak on the matter. Dr. Greif points out that the death toll includes 800 000 Serbs and 40 000 Jews. Unfortunately he doesn't provide a new death toll for the Romas. The old death toll was 40 000 for this group. When anti-fascists are factored into the count it easily reached 1, 000 000. Greif acknowledges that there was still many mass graves that have yet to be exhumed. Additionally, the death toll does not factor in those who were burned in Picilli's furnace, turned into soap etc. Dr. Greif has spent 30 years on Yad Veshem, the world's leading authority for Holocaust information. He spent four years of his life studying the Serbian genocide and came to the conclusion that the death toll is much higher than perviously thought this is due in part to many reason's including but not limited to Tito's denial of the genocide in favour or "brotherhood" and "unity." Here is the source which discusses Greif's book "Jasenovac: Aushwitz of the Balkans" which I am in possession of. Lastly there was incorrect information on Greif's page saying that the UN was distancing himself from his work when it in fact was the opposite. The UN hosted his exhibition "Jasenovac- the Right to Remembrance" was held at the UN headquarters in NY on January 26, 2018. You need to understand the impact and gravity of spreading misinformation about genocides whether deliberately or through negligence.

Death toll of the Serbian Genocide of WWII which will need to be added to that webpage.

Gideon Greif: More than 800 000 (Gideon Greif, Jasenovac: Aushwitz of the Balkans, 2019 p.355.)

Historian Menachem Shelah: at least 500 000 (Menachem, Shelah (ed.), History of the Holocaust- Yugoslavia, [Hebrew], Yad Vashem, Jerusalem, 1990.

Hermann Neubacher (special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Third Reich to Yugoslavia): more than 750 000 (Sonderaftrag Sudost 1940-1945, 1957, p31.)

Vladimir Dedijer: 600 000-700 000 (Vladimir Dedijer, Vatikan i Jasenovac, 1987, p.644.)

Thank you.

Greater Dhaka was removed because it is not a megalopolis by definition. Dhaka is a megacity but it is definitely not a megalopolis as there are no metropolitan areas adjacent to Dhaka[edit]
