Hello Ace Wager. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ace Wager. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ace Wager|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Seraphimblade Talk to me 04:44, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Seraphimblade,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to clarify that I am not directly involved in any paid activities at the moment. Currently, I'm diligently working on content within the Sports Betting and Horse Racing industry in Australia. My focus is on highlighting key industry figures and successful bookmakers, encompassing their journeys across various brands and their present endeavors.
Despite my efforts to refine the content, I've encountered challenges with publication due to potential flags. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or assistance you could provide in this matter.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Ace Wager (talk) 22:40, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to talk to me, then I would want to talk to you. I am not interested in a conversation with a chatbot. Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:41, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please let me know on the best way to proceed? Ace Wager (talk) 22:50, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
{{unblock|@Seraphimblade I'm really not sure why you blocked me, I requested input/advice from you to improve my content and ensure that it is published on the platform. I would really appreciate feedback from you and assistance in this regard.}} Ace Wager (talk) 22:54, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I blocked you because, after having had your advertising material deleted twice as a draft, you apparently thought the proper way to proceed would be to then put it directly into mainspace instead. It is clear that your only purpose here is to advertise that company, so I will not unblock you, but you can review the block notice for instructions if you wish to appeal it. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:01, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This was not my intention at all. I am trying really hard to understand how to improve my content and where I went wrong. It was an honest mistake - I thought I was submitting a new draft as I had made further changes to the content. I would really appreciate your assistance on this matter. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for advertising or promotion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:49, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Account Blocked[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I made an honest mistake when trying to upload a new draft article for review and published this to the main area. I am therefore requesting that my request be reviewed in light of this, and that my account is unblocked in order to allow me to try to improve on my content.

Decline reason:

You will not be unblocked to write about your company. If that is your only goal, this is the end of the line. If however, you want to write about subjects outside of your conflict of interest, then let us know what they are in your next unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 01:06, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
