I want to thank you Abductive for creating this comprehensive list. It must've taken a while! NinjaWeeb (talk) 21:52, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removals[edit]

Abductive, is it alright if we remove articles that have been created or would you prefer to keep the list in its entirety? Fritzmann2002 T, c, s, t 17:08, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'll make a "completed" section, and move the bluelinks to it, give me a few hours... Abductive (reasoning) 18:21, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hey that looks great; it makes me chuckle to think that we are not even 10% of the way through this massive list, but on the other hand it is cool to see several hundred new bluelinks. Fritzmann2002 T, c, s, t 15:32, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for putting this list together. I stumbled across it when I checked 'what links here' for a new article. Curious if you know offhand how fast POWO is adding new genera relative to wikipedia editors making new articles for them – in other words, are we likely to catch up? Don't go to any trouble to find out, but I was wondering if you knew offhand.

The other thing I'm finding is that POWO has revived genera and/or species that Wikipedia still treats as synonyms. Since they have blue links it will look like they have articles, but they may only be redirects. The way I have been finding them is updating lists of accepted genera by family using POWO, and then checking every blue link to make sure it has an up-to-date article. I wondered if there was a way to do it en masse. Tom Radulovich (talk) 23:13, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
