March 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to Rocky Boy (Chippewa leader), you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 03:44, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

unless you can source your information correctly do not post it here, i am in fact a biological descendant of Chief Rocky Boy's family. i do feel any writing on his family should be from his family only. please identify yourself. I am melinda Gopher, i am a paralegal, researcher and like i said, a descendant. 63.153.95.120 (talk) 04:26, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Not sure why you brought this up, but regarding your statement "...i am a paralegal..." Please read wp:No legal threats, making or implying one may result in a wp:block.
I am not a Native American. If you look on the main page, you will see "Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit." I would suggest you read Help:Introduction to Wikipedia. See wp:ownership of content regarding "claiming" an article. Do understand that Wikipedia is owned by the Wikimedia Foundation, not you nor I. I am a volunteer, presumably following [Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines]] which you do seem somewhat familiar with.
Content, per Wikipedia's policy of wp:verifiability essentially states that content must wp:cite a wp:reliable source. On Wikipedia use of one's own knowledge is wp:original research, is not verifiable, and should not be used on Wikipedia. Adakiko (talk) 05:06, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest getting an wp:account which make communication much easier. Also suggest reading wp:policies and guidelines which you do seem somewhat familiar with.
There is the wp:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America which may be of help. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 05:06, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot: If you want to, use Wikipedia:Contact us - also on the left column of any page. See the "Other areas of Wikipedia" toward the bottom on the Main Page and Wikipedia:Volunteer Response Team. Adakiko (talk) 05:32, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
