July 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Aspirator (entomology) because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Welcome![edit]

Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at 2022 monkeypox outbreak in the United States, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 19:19, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Please avoid wp:BAREURLs and use a more complete citation. People generally want to know where they are linking to. There are wp:templates including {{cite web}} and {{cite journal}}. The RefToolbar on the Wikipedia editor will allow easier addition of citations. See help:referencing for beginners.
Please avoid citing wp:self-published sources such as blogs, and wp:user generated content such as Internet Movie Database. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 09:32, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, remember that most reader do not have access to jstor and other subscription-required sources. It's best to use free sources if possible. Adakiko (talk) 09:33, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
JSTOR is free for a few articles, but most are by subscription.
Please take the time and generate more complete URLs. Some wp:BAREURLs can be filled in by bot, which sometimes makes errors. PDFs can not be filled in by bot at this time, so it needs to be done manually. If you have the information on hand, you can easily add it with WP:INTREF3.
