Some Sort Of About Me Section[edit]
Hello, Wikipedia! I made an account here long ago, and have been hanging around ever since, reading and observing and enjoying all of the collected knowledge but never really feeling confident enough to edit myself (probably not helped by my habit of binge-reading the behind-the-scenes pages and noticeboards and seeing all the ways in which contributing to Wikipedia can go wrong...). But now's as good a time to actually become active here as any - I hope that whatever small contributions I'm able to make (which will probably be some mixture of UK politics, video games, and habitual wikignomery) go some way to showing my gratitude for all that the Wikipedia community has done to collect and share knowledge over the years and all of the information and entertainment I've gained from it.
...I should probably get this page looking a bit nicer, too. Let's go find some userboxes - I've always liked userboxes.

Preserved below is the original version of this userpage. It turns out that I did think of something to go here later! And it only took a decade! Also, it looks like the Anonyman account I complained about all those years ago vanished in 2015, and the name was promptly claimed by a French Wikipedia user.

About my name: I wanted to use the name Anonyman (which I use in most places), but some vandal had claimed it, made one edit (creating a nonsense subpage of AfD) and then left. Thank you so much, random vandal guy.
