Leonard Harper was a New Zealand member of Parliament in the 19th century.[1]

In 1876-77, he represented the Cheviot electorate.[1]

In 1884, Harper contested the Avon electorate against William Dunlop. Harper and Dunlop got 397 and 320 votes, respectively.[2] Harper resigned in May 1887 from England.[3]

NZETC Leonard Harper was a Member of the House of Representatives for Cheviot in 1876–1877, and he represented the Avon electorate from 1884 to 1887. Mr. Harper, who is a son of the late Bishop Harper, was admitted to the bar, and practised his profession for many years in Christchurch. He now resides in Jersey, Channel Islands.
