The Legion "Freedom of Russia" is a group of former servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces who were captured and decided to defend Ukraine against the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.[1]

Personnel[edit]
It is not known how many soldiers serve in the formation. During a briefing, a legion commander noted that the amount of legionnaires is large, but did not name the exact number for security reasons.[2]
