The World Mixed Martial Arts Association is based in Monaco and was founded on the 3rd of September 2012. The World Mixed Martial Arts (WMMAA) is a governing for professional Mixed Martial Arts competition in a number of countries around the world and is also a not-for-profit organisation that aims to be the governing body for the sport of MMA across the globe. WMMAA is partnered with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to regulate any doping by WMMAA members. In 2014 around 40 countries are approved members of WMMAA and many more joining monthly.
Rights and Obligations of members[edit]
The WMMAA put together a set of rights and obligations for all the members and their coinciding countries to oblige by. The rules state that all countries and sub promotions must participate in all WMMAA event and made it compulsory for each country to organise different championships ranging from Regional to national that are all sanctioned by the World Mixed martial arts Association.
The governing board of the WMMAA has various congress meetings to discuss further plans for the company including voting for important topics on their current agenda. Every member of the WMMAA has a right to vote at congress unless the president (Vadim Finkelchtein) revokes the right to vote.
Any member must also obey the IOC charter, IOC code of ethics and comply with all the mandatory testings from WADA. [1]

Anti-doping provisions[edit]
The establishment of the World anti-doping agency focuses on the management of doping throughout the professional sporting world. As the WMMAA uses the guild lines from WADA, this is critical for all members and countries underneath the WMMAA to oblige by all the codes of conduct set by the World anti-doping agency. It is strictly unauthorised for any athlete to interfere with any sampling of athletes failing to do so will lead to a suspension or membership being officially revoked.
Members of the WMMAA Governing Board[edit]
The WMMAA consists of a governing board that control the overall operations of the company, the highest position being the president. The president has to supervise day to day operations and can also control the governing board members.
The other positions within the company include the Vice Presidents, Secretary General, The Treasurer and Executive members.[3]
