The National Assessment Survey is a large scale educational assessment survey in India. It is conducted by the Department of School Education and literacy of the Ministry of Education. It has been conducted two times, once in 2017 and in 2021 since its inception. It assesses the learning capabilities and achievements of Classes 3, 5, 8 and 10 studying in State Govt. schools, Govt. Aided schools, Private Unaided and Central Govt. schools. It serves as a indicator for the effectiveness of education in India.^[1]
