Just passing through...[edit]

Recently have come back to Wikipedia after a few years. I come and go with waxing and waning obsessions with certain topics. My motivations for editing primarily come from a sense of concern for the proliferation and spike of pseudoscience and conspiracy theories on the internet following the COVID-19 pandemic. I watched many people fall into these conspiracies and observed the damage they caused, both on an individual and societal level.

I sincerely try my best to present topics neutrally, but do consider WP:FALSEBALANCE to be a guiding principle in my editing style. I believe it is important to never fall back on "bothsideism", as this is not equivalent to neutrality and contributes to misinformation. This is dangerous.

I am admittedly still learning more of the Wikipedia style guide/markup and will make mistakes in my references or markup often when I'm not quite sure how to fix them, but I’ll always try to come back to them later and fix them up if I can figure it out.

I appreciate any tips and friendly pokes so I can improve!

Pages I am most concerned with right now[edit]

False Memory Syndrome Foundation[edit]

Improving WP:NPOV/BLP, source verification

Iatrogenesis[edit]

What’s your drop in the ocean?[edit]

Things I’ve focused on for many years in personal and academic interest:

Primary focus[edit]

False memory

Dissociative identity disorder (diagnosis, history, etiology, iatrogenic and sociocognitive origins)

Satanic panic (specifically in relation to DID)

Pseudoscience (in psychology)

Secondary focus[edit]

Iatrogenesis and harm in the therapeutic setting and relationship (not related to above topics)
