Undecided major with Spanish minor at Linfield College. I am currently using this page for a psychology project.

My group and I are debating writing articles on the following topics:
1.) Dendrophobia: no Wikipedia Article exists
2.) Haptodysphoria: no Wikipedia Article exists
3.) Healthy Multiplicity: mentioned in this article | Hypostatic model of Personality

It looks as if we will be starting our article from scratch! :)

Reflection
I have never edited or done much of anything on Wikipedia, so, from this project I gained insight on two main things: Wikipedia and Polysubstance Dependence. It was quite interesting learning the ways of Wikipedia, I spent much of my time trying things out in the sandbox and reading How-to-Tutorials. My group and I have successfully mastered Wikipedia. Although we had some struggles, I feel as though we now know our ways around Wikipedia.
I enjoyed this project for the simple fact that I wasn’t writing another term paper- how refreshing. Although, it was a lot of work simply navigating Wikipedia. I sometimes felt as though I was spending more time trying to figure out how to format things on Wikipedia than I was on the actual topic of polysubstance dependence. Information on polysubstance dependence is a little scarce, so it was a bit difficult finding studies that pertained to our article and not simply substance abuse.
My group and I discovered Wikipedia together. Maleah taught us how to insert pictures and I edited our references so they wouldn’t show up more than once on our reference list. We had many instances where one of us would learn how to do something and then share our knowledge with the whole group. I think our group did I really good job of equal effort and everyone put in a lot of hard work.
The largest challenge we faced was when we lost one of our group members, it put a bit of a strain on us, but we all stepped up and took on her portion of the project. It was also difficult to find a time when we all could meet because we are all so busy. Much of our decision making and communication was through email. I think our article is a huge improvement from what it used to be and that is our main success. Overall, I think the project was a good learning experience and I’m proud of the article my group and I produced.
