Brant Inn A popular night club in the City of Burlington, Ontario. From the 1930's until 1968, many top North American Big Bands and entertainers played there. Acts include: Duke Ellington, Xaviar Cugat, Louis Armstrong, Andy Williams, Les Brown, Ink Spots, Nat King Cole, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, Guy Lombardo, Liberace and more. Music was broadcast from the Brant Inn weekly by radio across Canada and into the United States. In 1968, the Inn fell out out popularity and was demolished. A stone marker and bronze plaque will be installed in the summer of 2011 to recognize the site and its importance.
