From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of registered heritage buildings in New Zealand that have been demolished or destroyed.

Notes on choices made in Listeria:

  1. How to render links (properties with datatype item) not in the local Wikipedia. Valid values are:
    • all to link to Wikidata. Default
    • local to remove entries for which there exists no local article (the opposite of red_only).
    • red to generate red links based on label and item.
    • red_only to remove entries for which there exists a local article (the opposite of local).
    • text to generate blue links for existing pages, and plain text otherwise.
    • reasonator to generate blue links for existing pages, and links to Reasonator otherwise.

I've gone with 'text' to avoid the bot trying to link the heritage category column to non-existent Wikipedia pages for the category I and II. Alternatives to this include a) dividing the data into separate tables for Category, so that this column can be removed, b) selecting red, but creating redirects for "NZHPT Category I listing" and any other values found in this column so that they link to a Wikipedia that does exist (such as Heritage New Zealand). I think b is probably the better option.

2. the en tag on the street address is a language tag, and probably the result of a bug, so hopefully it will get fixed in Listeria or I'll find out a way to remove it.Need to specify a variable and filter by language.

3. I've added references.

This list is automatically generated from data in Wikidata and is periodically updated by Listeriabot.
Edits made within the list area will be removed on the next update!
