Timothy Hodge (born January 11, 1982)[citation needed] is an American entertainer, most famous for being a member of the Grace Church Choir.[citation needed]

Biography[edit]

Timothy Wallie Hodge, one of two children[citation needed], was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey,[1][2] the son of Romaine Hodge and Barry Jackson[citation needed], and grandson of legendary gospel singer Betty Ross,[3][4] and cousin of Jerome Bettis[3]. Hodge began to sing by the age of four,[2] and has since been influenced by such singers as Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Al Green and Aretha Franklin.[citation needed]

At ten, Hodge was discovered by James McGregor[2]. He quickly became a member of the Grace Church Choir in 1992.[5] After the discovery, Yanda and Sixth Street Studios set up an audition with arranger/composer James McGregor.[citation needed] After passing the audition process, McGregor signed Hodge to the Grace Church Choir in 1992.[citation needed] By mid-1992 Hodge began to record and tour with choir.

Hodge left the choir in 1995 to pursue a solo career. By 2002 Hodge formed his own record label Hodge Music Group, located in New York, New York,[6] which is under S.E.G Entertainment.[citation needed]

As of 2007, he is still active in the music/entertainment industry. He is currently working on an album and several film projects.[citation needed] He has also opened for such musical talent as Bow Wow, Jahiem, MC Lyte, Naughty by Nature, The Ross Singers, Sharissa[3]. And has appeared in numerous music videos[7].

In August 2008 Timothy signed with Blogtalkradio to host his own radio show The Timothy Hodge Show. Timothy is set to release his new album Tell A Story on January 12, 2010
