Alternative account[edit]

I have another account originally created some years ago for use at the Commons, where I have a few thousand image uploads and other edits. But I have also used it from time to time to edit Wikipedia, especially on topics relevant to the images that I upload. That account is linked to my real name for photo credits, so in order to protect my privacy I have created this alternative account for everyday use at Wikipedia, in accordance with WP:VALIDALT. To preserve the anonymity of this account, I will continue to use the other account when adding my own photos to Wikipedia articles, and when making related edits to those same articles. But otherwise I intend to use this account for most future Wikipedia editing. My interests are eclectic, but I am not a very frequent editor, and I do not normally edit articles on controversial topics (recent history and politics, biographies of living persons, etc.) with either account. I make this disclosure here to affirm that I am familiar with Wikipedia policies concerning sockpuppetry and that I am not using this alternative account to avoid blocks or for any other inappropriate purpose.

About my user name[edit]

"Crawdad Blues" is the name of a recording made in September 1923 for OKeh records by Bennie Moten and his Kansas City Orchestra. I have no other affiliation with crawdads, and no conflict of interest that would prevent me from writing impartially about crustaceans in general.
