Christianee Porter is an American comedian and actress. She is best known for performing a character called Ms. Shirleen, a middle-aged Christian woman who dispenses wisdom.[1]

Life and career[edit]
Porter was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas.[1] As a student, she would adopt different characters and dress and speak in a comedic fashion.
She moved to Atlanta in 2007 to take classes in audio production at the Art Institute of Atlanta.[1] Porter first gained notice as a comedian in 2016 after she posted an Instagram video dressed a character called Ms. Shirleen and acted out a comedic bit about the dangers of waist trainers.[1][2] The post was viewed over one million times across social media platforms.[1] Porter stated in an interview with AJC that the character is based on various male family members in her life.[1] Other characters include Yung Velveeta.[1]
