1934 United Kingdom general election

The 1934 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday 15 November 1934, three years after the previous general election in 1931. The recently formed British Union of Fascists (BUF), led by Oswald Mosely, became the single largest party in the House of Commons but were 11 seats short of a majority, resulting in the formation of a minority BUF government with a Confidence and Supply agreement with the Ulster Unionist Party following their disaffiliation from the Conservatives.
