The Brazilian Former President Jair Bolsonaro signed the ceremony of 100 days of government, Decree 9.756/2019, published on April 11, 2019, aimed at unifying the government's federal websites on a single platform, simplifying access to services offered online.

On July 31, 2019, the first stage of the process of moving the 1,600 federal government websites started. The first three portals transferred to the gov.br domain were the Government of Brazil, Palácio do Planalto and Portal Serviços.

The government expects to spend 43 million reais (R$ 43,000,000) on the unification of the portals, but estimates an annual saving of 100 million reais with the separate maintenance of thousands of sites.
