"Including" vs "key events"[edit]

Can anyone provide guidance on the intended distinction between "Including" and "key events"? I'm trying to use the template for a few articles. --Merbabu (talk) 01:58, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Bluealbion: added "key events" in 2021. Perhaps they know? - Jarry1250 [Vacation needed] 17:58, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I used key events to mean things of note that happened during the era. I don’t really use “including”, but from what I can tell it is used mostly to link to sub eras within a larger era Bluealbion (talk) 01:41, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jarry1250: and @Bluealbion: - thank you both. I have been implementing it across some Indonesia history articles which had been using "former country" infoboxes which became bloated with largely irrelevant info. Here
I also didn't use the "including" box, but it might come in useful another time. thanks again --Merbabu (talk) 08:15, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
