Zambales' 2nd legislative district special election, 2012[edit]

Created/expanded by Howard the Duck (talk). Self nom at 13:46, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

  • Article was expanded five fold at the nomination time. No image problems to worry about copyright wise. Article has inline sources supporting the text. Hook is supported by citation in the text. (I counted and yes, three names and three families.) Plagiarism check: here showed no problems. same. Manual check after toolserver slowed to impossible to load for me didn't show anything I would consider majorly problematic.
  • Article has some future/present/past tense issues that could be fixed... but this clarity is not required by criteria. Article is still understandable.
    • I'd fix this up. I'd recomment holding this up until I'm done with this. –HTD 13:03, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
      • I think I fixed up the tense issues. –HTD 13:32, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Article reads as neutral enough to me. I'm not from the Philippines, so I'm not sure if everyone there would agree. One phrasing bit that might have been I fixed as Pork barrel seems POV pushing. (Source does not use that wording.)
    • "Priority Assistance Development Fund" is the euphemism for pork barrel. Even the Congress website acknowledges that. I think they avoided using the term "pork barrel" since the former congressman died and it would have been in bad taste. –HTD 13:03, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
Good to go. --LauraHale (talk) 09:20, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
