Sejm of the Grand Duchy of Posen[edit]

Created/expanded by Piotrus (talk). Self nom at 23:08, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

  • There seems to be something wrong with the page numbers in the references, which makes it kinda hard to check the content of the hook. E.g I checked the sentence "The first sejm included 22 Poles and 26 Germans [...]" and its ref that marks pp. 230 as a source, while in the mean time it's page 285 that contains that statement. The sentence "The Grand Duchy population was 65% Polish [...]" can be found on pp. 286 instead of the same 230 that you gave. Basicly ref 4 that would be the backbone of the hook is on 290 not 235 (e.g. "the Sejm of the Grand Duchy[...] gained the right to elect deputies to the Prussian Parliament" is also on that very page). Although I could imagine Google messes up the numbers (which doesn't explain the 1 page difference/overlap of ref 1), but it would be vital for readers to be given trackable numbers. As a result one is unable to verify the claims so the hook can't go. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 15:22, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Doh. I added GB link as a helper and I messed up - wrong edition. Fixed in this article, and (sigh) I'll have a bunch others to fix. (I used the 1998 revised edition, not the 1982 one). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 15:35, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Okay, just tell me when it's done and I'll be back to re-review it. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 15:59, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Wait a minute. Basicly the hook relies on the first part of the sentence, "The Sejm continued it sessions till 1918, with a total of 45 Sejms being held", which is fine, but the second part is incorrect according to its ref. Doesn't the book claims that there were overall 49 Seyms? Lajbi Holla @ meCP 17:14, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Let me know if this is not clear. Sejm continued till 1918, but only (as stated in the hook) until 1845-48-ish it can be seen as continuing the Polish tradition (afterward, it was mostly gemranized). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 17:20, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Ummm, and does this deduct four Seyms? I know the exact number doesn't affect the hook but I just don't want to fold it this way. So is it 45 or 49? Can you double-check this? Lajbi Holla @ meCP 17:26, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
  • It's okay. As well as the article. Good to go. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 17:32, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
