  • A decent article, long enough, new enough, well-written and reliably sourced. I thought the hook could be a bit more interesting, so I've taken the liberty of adding "the neglected Dutch-born painter" to make it clearer why Lawrence Alma-Tadema is of interest - let me know if you're not happy with that. QPQ done. I have added "once" as he has had a revival in recent years due to the work of Barrow and a number of others. Also changed the hook to Victorian rather than Dutch-born as Dutch born seems to add little while Victorian places him in time. Added pic of her book cover.
