  • ... that on 18 October 1766 the mayor of Nottingham was knocked over by a cheese wheel whilst trying to stop the Nottingham cheese riot? "cheeses were rolled down Wheeler - gate and Peck - lane in abundance --- many others were carried away -- and the Mayor , in endeavouring to restore peace , was knocked down with one in the open fair" from: Sutton, John Frost (1852). The Date Book of Remarkable and Memorable Events Connected with Nottingham and Its Neighbourhood. 1750-1850. p. 73.

  • Date and length fine. AGF on book sources. I would say NOT ALT1 as it's a little dull. The original or ALT2 are better (my preference would be for the Mayor one). QPQ done. No close paraphrasing. Picture licences fine. Good to go. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 12:44, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
