Louis Dreller[edit]

  • ... that Louis Dreller was decorated by both the United States and Brazil for designing and building World War II warships? Source: (1) "expediting the construction of one aircraft carrier, two heavy cruisers, one landing ship, and numerous amphibious craft, and by completing the outfitting, repair and overhaul services for 250 vessels of the Fleet" – Naval Engineers Journal obituary, quoting his Legion of Merit citation; (2) "The Brazilian Order of the Southern Cross was conferred [...] in recognition of his work in designing destroyers for the Brazilian Navy" – Chester Times

  • Hi Lagrange613, review follows: article created 6 January; article exceeds minimum length; article is well written (I prefer strict chronological order but that is personal preference); article is cited inline throughout to reliable sources; no copyright violations or overly close paraphrasing noticed from a spot check; hook is interesting enough,; sources are inaccessible to me, but I am happy to AGF that they support the hook as per the quotes provided above; QPQ has been carried out. The only minor note I want to make is that "designing and building" might be misconstrued as applying to both decorations: the extracts above seem to suggest his US decoration was for building and overhauling ships only and the Brazilian decoration was for design only. However I can't find a satisfactory way to rephrase it and I am probably just over thinking it - Dumelow (talk) 16:43, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
@Lagrange613: Hello, I came to promote this, but there's a "See Also" section without any content in it. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:12, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi Narutolovehinata5. It used to link to List of Jewish American generals and admirals since deleted. I removed the section - Dumelow (talk) 07:39, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, I think that resolves my issue. Promoting. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:48, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
