Los Angeles Salsa

5x expanded by SounderBruce (talk). Self-nominated at 06:22, 24 December 2022 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: I would recommend either the main hook or ALT3 as they would be accessible even to non-soccer fans. Eligibility is pending User:SounderBruce's QPQ review, but once that has been satisfied I think this will be a good choice for DYK. Metropolitan90 (talk) 07:10, 24 December 2022 (UTC)

@Metropolitan90: QPQ added. I don't think the ALT0 is all that inaccessible to non-soccer fans, as the unusual situation of joining another country's league is somewhat well understood. SounderBruce 05:03, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
By ALT0, do you mean "... that the Los Angeles Salsa of the United States attempted to join a Mexican soccer league?" I thought that one ("the main hook") was fine. My concern was that non-soccer fans wouldn't know about CONCACAF or red cards. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:25, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
