Joseph M. Mleziva

  • ... that long-time Wisconsin farmer-legislator Joseph M. Mleziva refused to run for re-election in 1948, saying, "I can't afford to continue and, besides, I'm tired of taking the abuse that comes with the job"? Source: article in The Capital Times June 3, 1948
    • Comment: he went back to the farm and never ran for public office again

  • Article expansion is 7.4x, expansion starting date versus filing date okay, article length okay at 2578 characters (417 words) readable prose size. Article neutrality is good and no evident signs of copyvio. However, article should really have citing for the material in the second half of the "Background" section. Hook interest is very good – the quote pretty much says it all - and is sourced. Unfortunately the hook is a bit overlength at 211 characters, so try rewriting it and be sure to link and bold the article name within it. QPQ is absent but I get the impression you have fewer than five prior DYKs.
Also, it's beyond the DYK criteria, but the formatting of the Wisconsin Blue Book cites is inconsistent among fn 1, fn 4, and fns 3/5/6/7. And fn 8 is missing the 'via' credit to Newspapers.com. And fns 2 and 9 are the same thing and can be coalesced. Wasted Time R (talk) 14:47, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

ALT1 looks good to me (ALT1a has a contraction), and the other changes to the article have been made. Wasted Time R (talk) 22:53, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
