Joaquin Avila (voting rights advocate)[edit]

Created by JohnPomeranz (talk). Self-nominated at 18:09, 10 March 2018 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, clearly notable. Nominator has only two past DYKs, so no QPQ needed. Earwig found no copyvio (only some repeated long proper names of organizations). Interesting hook, within rules. Mostly well enough sourced, including the hook, but the "pay the legal fees" and Ohtli award claims still require sources. Additionally, the entire "education" section is unsourced, a blocker for DYK. Add sources for these and it will be ready to go. —David Eppstein (talk) 19:06, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks, David. I've added the requested sources. Can you confirm this looks good to you? JohnPomeranz (talk) 19:50, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
  • I didn't notice before, but the article also needed categories. I added those, so now it's good to go. —David Eppstein (talk) 19:58, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks again! How did you so quickly find the right categories to add? Is your knowledge of WP so encyclopedic (pun absolutely intended) that you just knew those categories were there, or is there some sort of tool to find likely categories? JohnPomeranz (talk) 20:01, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Mostly knew they were there, did a little searching to find their exact names. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:09, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
