Decimate (game show)[edit]
- ... the BBC1 game show Decimate has been praised for upholding the true meaning of the word "decimate"?

Expanded on 21st, long enough, neutral, multiple close paraphrasing issues (most of article is sourced to primary source television show), QPQ needed. Hook has an immediate ref in the article (3b), though there is little reason to warrant such a large blockquote when most if not all of it can be paraphrased. So that should be pared down to be within (copyright) policy. I also have some notability (core guideline) concerns as is—the whole article appears to be sourced to a single episode of the actual show (as a primary source) when much of that detail should be coming from a secondary source (unless there's some television wikiproject norm of which I'm unaware). (Also the second of the three sources is not even about the show.) It's a BBC1 show, so I imagine there's more—any more coverage about the show? - I am not aware of any television WikiProject, let alone any television WikiProject norms either. What I will say is this: The last two articles on the game shows filling the Decimate slot (or near enough) have been The Edge (game show), and before that The Link (game show). Very similar to what I have, except I've actually bothered to cite my source. (There are very few new sources as most come from June 2014, when the show was recorded.) - Alright, here's my QPQ: Template:Did you know nominations/Rosetta Stone v. Google Inc. As for the primary source, two words: I'm waiting. UKGameshows.com, currently listed as an external link, usually provides said information on its entry. When its editor decides to get its act together I can use that but otherwise the primary source is acceptable for the time being.--Launchballer 00:53, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- I edited the text a little bit. I'll leave the final call on the amount of primary source text to the closer. Only outstanding issue would be that the info in the lede is not sourced anywhere in the article. czar ⨹ 11:28, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

- I've incorporated the lede's information into other parts of the article since ledes aren't supposed to be sourced, and I note that the UKGameshows.com source is now live, so I've incorporated it into the article. Better?--Launchballer 20:13, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- That would be fine, but the basic April, host name, BBC stuff isn't sourced within the article, which is what I meant. Also that UKgameshows.com source doesn't appear to have any hallmarks of reliability/fact-checking and should probably be removed. czar ⨹ 20:45, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- I must admit I questioned the authenticity of the site after I sent them an eMail last week asking to join the site, saying I'd written the Wikipedia articles for this and Ejector Seat (game show), and found that in next week's Weaver's Week, new reviews had been written for both shows: [1]. Very dubious. However, the site is owned and edited by David J. Bodycombe, who has been a game show consultant for 25 years, and whose word I am quite happy to take as fact.--Launchballer 22:00, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
