  • Comment (not review) Dwkaminski, to make the hooks easier to review, could you replace the quotes from the article for each hook with brief quotes in quotation marks from the linked sources? TSventon (talk) 11:29, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
  • New enough, long enough, picture used in article, DYK done, passes earwig. Approving Alt1, though if anyone has a better hook, please suggest it. --evrik (talk) 20:21, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
  • @Evrik: Just to confirm, I assume you approved ALT1 since you crossed out the original hook and ALT2. Dwkaminski (talk) 13:11, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
  • Yes. --evrik (talk) 22:31, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
alternate hook suggestion:
  • ALT3: ... that Wade Stubbs built the Cheshire Hall plantation in Caicos rather than remain in the newly Spanish-controlled Florida? "spanish-controlled florida" might jump-start a few people :)
  • let me know what you think, thanks! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 08:37, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
    • It's not correct. Thomas Stubbs built the plantation with money from his brother Wade, ran it for several years and then sold it to Wade after financial difficulties. How about the following:
  • ALT4: ... that Cheshire Hall plantation (pictured) was owned by Wade Stubbs, a British Loyalist, who moved to Turks and Caicos rather than remain in the newly Spanish-controlled Florida? Dwkaminski (talk) 11:43, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
  • @Evrik: What are your thoughts on the above? Z1720 (talk) 01:08, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
  • I think that Alt1 works the best. Thanks for the help! --evrik (talk) 02:42, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
