Beauty micrometer[edit]

Created by Violetriga (talk). Self nominated at 22:30, 3 November 2013 (UTC).

Hopefully there'll be an image there soon, but copyright laws are silly. violet/riga [talk] 22:31, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
And there is one there now. violet/riga [talk] 17:45, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Nominated one day after creation, and is about 220 characters, satisfying length and date criteria. QPQ has been completed. Sources and citations are OK (the blog postings have a copy of the original stories they depict), though the statement "it did not become popular and did not gain widespread usage" is not supported by its source (that source only claims that one makeup artist has never seen such a device); the claim is likely true, though. The image is somewhat grainy; an equivalent image is available here, and it can be cropped accordingly to respect fair use.Mindmatrix 18:37, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Hook is sourced and of reasonable length. Mindmatrix 18:51, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
  • It had been suggested that a crop of the other image would be "less free", but given that it's essentially the same image I find that a little confusing. Finding a source for "did not become popular" is quite like proving a negative and a source may not be possible to find. Given the use of a question symbol, is there anything else you are looking for? violet/riga [talk] 19:23, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Oh, I didn't realise you'd already considered that. thanks for the link to that discussion. As far as the unsourced claim, I suppose it's acceptable as is given that it's not a device commonly found in beauty salons. Mindmatrix 21:53, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
