Akshay Nanavati[edit]

  • ... that Akshay Nanavati is a USMC veteran who overcame PTSD and alcoholism to publish a book endorsed by the Dalai Lama? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates)
    • ALT1:... that ...? Source: PTSD source [1] and Dalai Lama source [2])

  • New, long enough, neutral, referenced, hook cited. QPQ done. Hook is bit longer and abbreviations USMC and PTSD may not be understood by the readers. Endorsement by Dalai Lama is referenced in his own book. Can you suggest an ALT hook? Thank you writing this article. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 05:08, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
ALT1:... that Akshay Nanavati is a US Marine Corps veteran who overcame drug abuse and alcoholism to publish a book endorsed by the Dalai Lama?Lihaas (talk) 12:18, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for better hook. I think "endorsed by the Dalai Lama" looks unnecessary lengthening of the hook. And that endorsement is sourced from the book itself. I think we should avoid it. Feel free to propose hook without it if you agree. Else I am OK with ALT1. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 13:04, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
The Dalai Lama does not seem to be mentioned in the source cited for that part of the hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:32, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: Added the quote with a reference (offline so MLA style) to the book itself. [3]Lihaas (talk) 22:05, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
