Since this plant is native to a country where the primary language is Spanish, the common name as it is spelled in Spanish should be included in the article. When I did a Google search for this plant using the Spanish name it did not pull up this article, neither did a Wikipedia search. Llareta would be the Spanish spelling, "El Llareta" is how I have seen it referred to on other websites.

According to the 2004 paper I added, the actual growth rate is 15 times more than the widely cited 1 mm / year, so around 1.5 cm / year. I corrected.
