Can this be summarized? It is currently rather long. (There's a lot of Latin in there too).

Did this case set some important precedent of American law? If not then why do we have this article? If it did set an important precedent then what was it? It seems buried in here.

Case name??[edit]

This case is listed as "United States v. Ball" on LexisNexis, and listed as "Ball v. U.S." on Findlaw. I'm not sure which is correct. One thing is for sure though, this article needs to be rewritten. --Eastlaw 19:12, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know why it's so long ...[edit]

Whoever wrote it pasted the entirety of the majority opinion in the article! The entire thing doesn't need to be here, that's what FindLaw is for (and a very good service, too).

As for whether or not the issue raised is relevant ... it seems relevant enough, seeing as how it involves voiding of convictions based on faulty indictments. --ThatBajoranGuy 09:47, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reassessed[edit]

At start class, does not meet standards of B Class as written. Fails B1 - not suitably referenced, B2 - is a verbatim copy of the opinion, B3 - no defined structure, B4/5/6 - see B2. Needs considerable work, which I will try to do as I get a chance. GregJackP Boomer! 17:51, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
