Appealing to the European court - period allowed for appeal?[edit]
The used ref https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/16/donald-trump-loses-appeal-windfarms-scottish-golf-course also says "The Trump Organisation said it was considering appealing to the European court. Their lawyers had appealed on two grounds: that Scottish ministers had no power to grant consent to the windfarm application, and that there was a problem with the design application."
Does anyone know about the period allowed for appeal for such a case? It would be good to know, so we can add that they said the above but the period allowed for appeal is now over, or such info... Rava77 (talk) 14:04, 14 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It depends what is meant by 'European court'. You don't appeal to the Court of Justice of the European Union but rather a case is referred by the Supreme Court. More likely then would be the European Court of Human Rights where the period is six months after the final decision of the Supreme Court as per Article 35(1) of the Convention. This period would have expired in June 2016. --WakelessGrub (talk) 15:55, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
