NPOV?[edit]

Citation for Excellent qualifier[edit]

According to the article "Former Coffman Athlete Byers hit, killed by train" from the Columbus Dispatch from Thursday, August 25, 2005, Tommy was "A regional track champion in the 800 meters as a senior" I do not know how to proerly use wiki markup to cite, or how to do a proper citation of the newspaper in the article, so I will leave the tag until someone comes along and does these things.Andrew.kintz (talk) 13:08, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Describing marks as n-th best all time[edit]

Perhaps this is not a good way to write about career marks. Either they have to be qualified with a meaningful point in time such as "at retirement" or some other durable reference point that is not merely a date, or simply listed as times without "n-th best". New marks are inevitably set later that render "second best" incorrect on a regular basis.

At this time. The 1000m has dropped one place, second to third, and that has been the case for about 18 years, the new mark set in 2002. The mile mark cited has also moved from seventh to eleventh in the meantime. As of July 18, 2020
