Removed point of view section

In case anyone is interested, here's a section I removed:

I would agree with the statement in that by the numbers Helton might be the best offensive player in MLB. Looking at Helton's page on the MLB website, right now (with many many fewer at bats that the other players) he's 20th in average, 5th in on-base percentage and 8th in slugging percentage ever. Particularly the slugging percentage, which is not mentioned in the article under 'selected stats'. Is that stat more relevant than say his home run total? Mglovesfun 17:03, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Added Coors Field Effect again

I added the Coors Field Effect section someone else removed.

I tried to avoid any POV, just listed the home vs. away stats and provided a link to that information. In case anyone cares, please review and edit anything I included that might be POV. Thanks. Rudiger19 22:13, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

This article is poor

This article is badly written, not neutral and generally pisses me off a bit. For example

"Helton is also one of only four players to have reached 400 total bases in consecutive seasons (405 in 2000, 402 in 2001). Klein accomplished this feat in 1931 and 1933; Gehrig did so in 1927 and 1932; and Jimmie Foxx did so in 1934 and 1936"

Are 1931 and 1933 consecutive years? Or 1927 and 1932? Or 1934 and 1936? Mglovesfun 00:31, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Steroids?

Someone just added that he tested positive for steroids. Was this reported anywhere? The only thing I found was that a broadcaster accused him, which is way different link --AW (talk) 14:17, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

He was not on the list that included David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez. His name has never come up in the steroids debate, except for, as you mentioned, accusations. Kgromann (talk) 15:59, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Seth Smith

While the fact that two current Rockies players were former teammates of the Manning brothers is interesting, it seems like mentioning it under the section about Todd Helton's personal life is not the place for it. It's already mentioned on Seth Smith's page. I'm going to take it out since it's just trivia. If someone really wants to have Seth Smith trivia in Todd's article, then please put it elsewhere in the article. Kgromann (talk) 16:03, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Google results

Google search for Todd Helton, in the wikipedia snippet that displays at the top right of the results page, it captions the photo: "Todd Helton, Football Player". Is that something that can be controlled from here or is it a Google error? Edit: Google error, reported there. Interesting. It's a Google error. On the box, I clicked the word "Feedback" and submitted the feedback that while Helton played football collegiately, he played baseball professionally. Maybe they'll address it, especially if anyone else reports it as I did. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:34, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
