This is good comprehensive article, covering all the major features of a District Council. The article Thanet, on the other hand, tries to combine information originally in an article entitled Isle of Thanet (at present merged with the latter for no apparent reason), which is only part (albeit the major part) of this district, and has a much longer history. It is my intention to clear much of the information on the island from that latter article, which should then be closed, since it would then be exactly the same as this one!
