Pov dispute[edit]

Most of this article is obviously posted straight from a state officer bio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.104.82.74 (talk) 03:53, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the unsourced content, which amounted to 99% of the original entry. 97.83.84.137 (talk) 15:30, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced statements[edit]

These statements are both unsourced and contentious, and as such violate WP:BLP.CFredkin (talk) 22:15, 15 May 2014 (UTC) It is a fact that Davenport does not have a law program and that is not contentious. You have been warned by wikipedia for editing conservative articles in the past. --Ejshalis (talk) 22:19, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't, and I'll say that these ads are clearly agenda-pushing. Arbor8 (talk) 22:21, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Investigative journalism[edit]

There is a new article from Detroit News, shedding some light on Land's financials, which may be relevant to this article http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20140708/politics01/307080028#ixzz36qqHqNWE . - Cwobeel (talk) 19:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please use WP:BRD[edit]

@Champaign Supernova: Don't edit war. I appreciate being bold, but please follow WP:BRD and don't revert again. - Cwobeel (talk) 04:14, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This [1] is a WP:BLP violation. The reference used for this information is a link to the Southern Poverty Law Center's website, where you will not find a mention of Land's name. There's no justification for inclusion. Champaign Supernova (talk) 04:20, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, good call. - Cwobeel (talk) 04:29, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of material[edit]

Regarding this edit [2]. Please discuss. - Cwobeel (talk) 16:51, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Did you look at the material? It's promotional campaign literature. Champaign Supernova (talk) 16:59, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:SELFPUB, that material is OK. It is not unduly self-serving, there is no doubt as to its authenticity, it is not about third parties, and the article is not based solely on self published sources. - Cwobeel (talk) 17:33, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Really? A sub-heading titled "Efficient and Effective Customer Service" and another titled "Fiscal Responsibility"? Not unduly self-serving...."Despite a decreased budget to work with, Land was successful in consolidating offices to make them more efficient, yet all through attrition so that no workers were laid off. Not only did Land make services more efficient, she also saved taxpayers millions of dollars." Alrighty then. Champaign Supernova (talk) 17:38, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
We are not quoting any of that in the article, are we? - Cwobeel (talk) 17:55, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, because you put it in the article. Did you even look at the material when you reverted my edits? [3] Champaign Supernova (talk) 18:00, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I did not put that in the article, that was user SamsonBell. Sorry for the jumping to conclusions. - Cwobeel (talk) 18:40, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In May 2014, Land gave speech at the Mackinac Policy Conference, that according to Jack Lessenberry of Michigan Radio, is a unique event in which for three days, virtually all the state’s top business and civic leaders congregate. Lessenberry described Land as coming across "like a high school student who had memorized a speech. You had the terrible sensation that if interrupted, she would have had to start all over from the beginning.".[1] Following her speech, Land was swarmed by reporters and, unable to articulate a response to a question, pushed their microphones away while stating "I can't do this."[2]

Granted, it is quite a negative representation of Land, but on the other hand, it has been widely reported about, including very recently. - Cwobeel (talk) 16:32, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Including this much detail about one interaction by one person in her bio is definitely undue.CFredkin (talk) 17:56, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Even if this was the beginning of her decline as a viable candidate? This has been widely reported. - Cwobeel (talk) 18:01, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How about something like this?

In May 2014, Land gave a speech at the Mackinac Policy Conference, a three-day event which many of the state’s top business and civic leaders attend, which she read from notes.[1] Following her speech, Land was swarmed by reporters and, unable to articulate a response to a question, pushed their microphones away while stating "I can't do this."[2]CFredkin (talk) 20:02, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. That would work, thanks. - Cwobeel (talk) 20:04, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I removed an edit attributed to biased propaganda source Breitbart which conflicted with reliable sources which stated that Land rarely made public appearances. Steelbeard1 (talk) 12:11, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Electoral History[edit]

Question: Since the U. S. Taxpayers Party of Michigan is the Michigan affiliate of the Constitution Party (United States), is there a way that we could permanently modify the election box format so that the color for the USTPM matches the color used for the CPUS?
